How to upgrade your subscription

Upgrading your subscription on Ground News is a simple process that can be done through both the website and the mobile app. This guide will walk you through the steps to ensure a smooth upgrade experience according to your original method of payment.

Ground News Pro is our most basic subscription available, which gives you the ability to modify your newsfeed by following interests and choosing which topics and sources to hide from your feed. You can upgrade to Premium or Vantage.

Ground News Premium is our mid-tier subscription, providing access to the Blindspot Feed, Factuality, and exclusive newsletters like Burst Your Bubble. You can upgrade to Vantage.

Ground News Vantage is our highest value subscription, offering bias, factuality, and ownership data on thousands of news sources, insights into your personal reading habits with My News Bias, and summarized daily briefings of today's top stories. If you are subscribed to Vantage, you cannot upgrade, and you will be eligible to receive access to all of Ground News newly developed features as soon as they're released.

1. Visit our website: https://ground.news/login

2. Login to your account using your credentials.

3. Navigate to "My Account" on the top-right corner of the page.

4. Select "Subscription" and then "Manage".

5. You will see the "Upgrade Your Subscription Here" option to choose a higher tier. This will redirect you to our webpage to upgrade.

If you use the mobile app, but purchased the subscription directly from Ground News, please navigate to the website's account page to upgrade your subscription.

Google Play Store

1. Launch the Google Play Store on your device and tap on your "Profile".

2. Navigate to "Payments & Subscriptions" and select "Subscriptions".

3. Then select "Ground News" and update your preferences through the "Manage Subscription" button. From there, you will be given the option to update your subscription to a higher tier.

App Store

1. Launch the App Store and tap on the "My Account" button or your profile picture. This is located at the top right side of your device. Note: You will have to be signed in with your Apple ID.

2. Select "Subscriptions" and then "Ground News".

3. Then choose "See all plans" highlighted in blue. From there you can select the subscription tier that best suits your needs.

Price Difference

Please note that Google Play Store, App Store, and Stripe transactions will automatically pro-rate the upgrade. However, for purchases made through PayPal, our team will need to intervene manually.
