How to remove a followed topic or interest from your feed

Whether your interests have changed or you want to streamline your news feed, removing a followed topic on Ground News is a quick and straightforward process. Below are step-by-step instructions for both the mobile and web platforms:

On the Mobile App

  1. Launch the Ground News app on your mobile device.

  2. Navigate to the "For You" tab located at the bottom of your screen.

  3. Navigate to "My Topics" at the top of the screen.

  4. Click the three dots next to the topic that you'd like to unfollow.

  5. Choose "Unfollow" on the menu that opens. The topic will now be removed from your list of following topics.

On the Mobile App

  1. Launch the Ground News app on your iPad.

  2. View the "For You" section on the left hand sidebar.

  3. Tap on "Following".

  4. Click the three dots next to the topic that you'd like to unfollow.

  5. Choose "Unfollow" on the menu that opens. The topic will now be removed from your list of following topics.

On Web

  1. Launch the Ground News homepage on your web browser. Ensure that you are logged into your Ground account.

  2. Navigate to the "For You" tab. Find this at the top left side of the page, near the Ground News logo.

  3. Navigate to the "Discover" tab, which is located near the top left of the page.

  4. Review your topics and click the checkmark icon on the topic you wish to remove. The selected topic will automatically be taken off your list of followed topics.
