How to modify or cancel your Ground News subscription
This article explains how to modify or cancel a Ground News subscription. It's important to note that you must modify your subscription through the same platform where it was originally purchased—either the Ground News website, the Apple App Store, or the Google Play Store.
Once you locate your original subscription method, you'll be able to upgrade or cancel your subscription by following the steps below.
If you want to cancel auto-renewal, you will need to follow the steps to cancel your subscription. After cancelling, you will retain access to paid features for the remainder of your current billing period, unless a refund is formally requested, though your subscription will not automatically renew in the following period. A confirmation email is sent to your account's email address once cancellation is processed successfully.
To avoid unwanted charges, please make an effort to manage your subscription at least 48 hours prior to its renewal date. Reminder emails are sent 7 days ahead of renewal or your official expiration date, so you can make the decision to renew at the time. Please allowlist Ground News as a sender to ensure that these emails don't end up in your spam inbox, as they sometimes can.

How can I determine how my subscription was originally purchased?
Please check your receipt to confirm whether your subscription was purchased directly from the Ground News website (via Stripe or Paypal) or via the App Store or Play Store (via the mobile application).
Note that just because you are using an Android or Apple device does not necessarily mean you subscribed via the App Store or Play Store. It is possible to subscribe directly on the Ground.News website and then use your subscription in the mobile app.
If you do not see Ground News listed in your list of App Store or Play Store subscriptions, it could indicate that you subscribed on the website. If that is the case, please follow the step below "for purchases made directly via the Ground.News website".
Once I determine where I've purchased my subscription, how can I modify my subscription on that platform?
For purchases via the Apple App Store
Please follow the Apple App Store subscription management instructions. The Ground News Support team cannot modify your App Store purchased subscription on your behalf.
For purchases made via the Google Play Store
Please follow the Google Play Store subscription management instructions. The Ground News Support team cannot modify your Play Store purchased subscription on your behalf.
Important: Choosing "Restore In-App Purchase" in the mobile apps will reactivate a cancelled subscription.
Direct Purchases
For purchases made directly via the Ground.News website
Please visit your Ground News account page on the Ground News website and click the "Manage Subscription" button.
For purchases made using Paypal on the Ground.News website
Please sign into your PayPal account on the Paypal website. Once signed in, view and manage your Subscription profile by:
Navigating to "Account Settings".
Under Payment Preferences, click the "Manage Automatic Payments" link. You can also directly go to the AutoPay link using "https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/autopay/connect".
Here you can view their existing Subscription profile details. They can cancel the Subscription by clicking the "cancel" link.
Your Paypal subscription will be for "Snapwise Inc.".
Important Considerations
You must cancel at least 48 hours prior to the renewal of the subscription term to avoid additional charges.
Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to the features you’ve paid for for the remainder of your subscription period.
Upon successful cancellation, you will receive a confirmation email that indicates that your subscription has been cancelled. If you have not received a confirmation of cancellation from the service you purchased your subscription from, it can indicate that no cancellation request was received nor processed.
Filling out the "Data Deletion" form on the app or website will not cancel your subscription.
Troubleshooting
I can't find the "Manage Subscription" button on my Ground News account
If you are hoping to cancel, upgrade, or otherwise manage an existing subscription, but the "Manage Subscription" button is missing, you could be logged into the wrong account. To identify your subscribed account, please search for the subscription's receipt which will have been sent to the email address that is connected to your subscribed account.
My Ground News subscription is not being recognized
Please ensure that you are signed into Ground News with the same account that you purchased your subscription with. If you are not signed in to your paid account, you will notice that your subscription status says "Free" and the email address and User ID will be different than the one you subscribed with. In this situation, please sign out of your account and sign into the account that you subscribed with. From there, you will be able to access your subscription features and/or manage your existing subscription's status.
I'm not sure where I purchased my subscription
Your original purchase information can be found on your Ground News Account, as well as the original product receipt (delivered via email, upon purchase).

I'd like to use a different sign-in method to access my subscription

Refund policies vary depending on where your subscription was purchased. If you subscribed through a third party, please refer to their terms and conditions. For subscriptions purchased directly through the Ground News website, refund requests made within 48 hours may receive a full refund (minus fees). Refunds are not available after seven days.
