What do the "L", "C", "R" stand for?
The letters stand for "Left" "Right" and "Center", with reference to the political spectrum. Left leaning sources tend to support issues that are important to democratic/liberal audiences in their publishing, while right leaning sources tend to support issues that are important republican/conservative audiences. Center rated sources are not neutral, but they tend to present both sides of the argument.
